Melanie Stocker (CH)
Ever since she can remember, Melanie only wanted to do one thing – to dance. At the age of 12, she was allowed to take dance classes and was affected by the Swing virus. Rock-n-Roll, Jive, Boogie Woogie, Lindy Hop that was her world. Since 2005 she is intensively devoted to spread West coast Swing in Europe. She spent nearly 4 months in California to study it on-site. She has been teaching different national teams
(ao Norway, Sweden, Finland, Austria, France and Italy) and brought together many upcoming, young couples in her "Next Generation Camps".
We are looking forward to the latest Westi news with Melanie and Oliver Harouard (FRA).
Olivier & Natasha (FRA)
They met each other at the Herräng Dance Camp in Sweden in 2001 and fell in love. They studied together and started to teach in 2003.
In 2006 Natasha and Olivier started to compete together and became NJC Balboa Champions in the Amateur division for their first run in the American Championships and 5th in NJC Lindy Hop Championship and jump in the Pro Division.
They compete for fun but they enjoy especially the social dancing and exchanges around the world by sharing their passion with others.
They are permanent students in all styles of dancing and are constantly trying to learn how to improve their skills and their ways of teaching.
At SWISI they will teach Lindy Hop and even more they will perform at the party!
Angela Andrew & Partner (GB)
She has a background in music and dance, which was encouraged by her musical family. She started social dancing over ten years ago and discovered Lindy Hop in 1991 at the famous London Club Jitterbugs. Ryan Francois, Julie Oram, Sing Lim and Ron Leslie were her teachers.
She is very popular around the dance camps in Europe and in the USA, and has taught at the Herräng Dance Camp for several years. Angela is a keen social dancer. Her sense of humor and improvisation is noted not only in her dancing but also in her teaching.
Lindy Hop is her thing! Not to miss!
